Now we get to the more personal offerings on the EP. This song in dedicated to my ex. Our relationship ended on a rough note and I’ve had nothing but regrets because of some of the things I’ve said hurting her in the process. I couldn’t stop thinking about her and had to do something about it and apologize. But I couldn’t do it. So my apology was then conceived in this song. I wrote it very quickly in one draft, no edits. It was as real as a song should be without sounding cliched or predictable. I felt that unless I apologized and spoke my mind, I wouldn’t be able to move on and remain stuck in the past with my regrets. “I’m Sorry” is an important track in which it solidified my decision to record an acoustic EP. I thought it would just be this song and that’s it, but then I had more songs to offer. So this acoustic album wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for this track.
