Finally, we wrap up with “Dear Family,” which obviously is dedicated to my family. I wrote this song on the way back home and I remember pulling over on the road crying when I was jotting the words down. This song follows a structure similar to a written letter, where it doesn’t flow like a conventional song like verse, chorus, verse, chorus, etc. Recording this song was pretty quick considering I had no click track to go by and it was just one guitar and a couple vocal tracks. I thought this would be a great closer to the project and would give a greater understanding of tribute.
